The $20 million hotel is the 12th Holiday Inn Indoor Waterpark in the brand’s portfolio, with several more in the pipeline.
The 25,000 sq.-ft. Venetian inspired Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites-Maple Grove Indoor Waterpark consists of an arcade, two four-story water slides, a 20-person spa, the Bambini Piscina toddler pool and an activity pool that features basketball hoops. The Venetian theme is carried throughout the experience with cobblestone streets, Gondolas and a replica of the Rialto Bridge. There is also a twinkle light ceiling to capture the twilight atmosphere of Venice.
The hotel’s two restaurants, Palazzo Ristorante and Concessioni, offer a variety of menu options from snacks to full-service meals. And like at all Holiday Inn hotels, kids 12 and younger eat free when accompanied by a dining adult and ordering from the kids menu.
The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites-Maple Grove consists of 136-rooms; of which 37 are Tuscany and Portofino suites, with an additional 23 KidsSuites®. The Tuscany suites include a balcony and two Queen size beds. The Portofino suites feature a King size bed and King size Jacuzzi. The KidsSuites offer bunk beds, 20” LCD TVs as well as SONY Play Station 2 systems. Introduced in 1996, KidSuites provide separate sleeping and entertainment areas for both kids and adults. Other hotel features include a business center, 1,900 sq.-ft. of meeting space, free high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi, media center with iPod docking station in each guest room, and free hotel parking.
The Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites-Maple Grove is owned by HINW, Inc. and operated by Torgerson Properties, Inc., which includes hotels and restaurants throughout Greater Minnesota, the Minneapolis–St. Paul Metropolitan area, and Florida. Torgerson Properties is under license and agreement with Holiday Inn’s parent company, InterContinental Hotels Group.
